Our parent company

Green Square Water is a wholly owned subsidiary of Flow Systems Pty Ltd.

Flow Systems is licensed under the Water Industry Competition Act (WIC Act). It designs, creates, constructs and operates private sustainable water networks in communities with a minimum of 500 homes or apartments in both high rise and land release developments and for commercial, residential and mixed use developments.

Flow Systems’ water networks include Shepherds Bay Plus, Green Square Water, Central Park Water, Discovery Point Water, Wyee Water, Box Hill Water and Pitt Town Water. In these communities, Flow wholly owns each water utility.

Flow Systems provides alternative servicing solutions to Sydney Water, Hunter Water and local council.

We strive to be more affordable and more sustainable than our competitors.

Licensed water utility

Green Square Water is licensed under the Water Industry Competition Act (WIC Act) to provide recycled water services at Green Square.

WIC Act was introduced by the NSW Government to:

  • enable competition in the provision of water services
  • encourage innovation
  • deliver more recycled water projects

Public water utilities are not the only choice

Public water authorities and local councils are no longer the only option when it comes to water services in NSW.

A new competitive private water market is operating in NSW as a result of the Water Industry Competition Act (WIC Act) passed in 2006. The NSW Minister for Finance and Services and IPART administer the Act. IPART ensures the highest health standards and consumer protection.

This means private water utilities, like Green Square Water, can offer water services directly to the community. In many cases, private water utilities are offering more innovative and affordable water services.
